Most frequent questions and answers

Do I have mold or toxins in my home or business?

The simple answer to this question is maybe and it is very possible. To accurately answer this question a full investigation of the home or business would be needed to locate and identify potential hazards.

Our full comprehensive inspections allow us to focus in on the issues present and save the client money on wasteful testing services.

Our goal is to provide our clients with as much information as necessary to move forward getting their homes to a clean healthy state,

What should I expect during the inspection process ?

Our inspections begin with a sit down consultation with you the client. We want to gather as much information about the property and the client as we can before inspecting the home.

Once our sit down consultation is complete we like to walk the home with our clients. This allows the clients time to remember any water damage or other problems that they may not have remembered during the sit down consultation.

Most of our clients have stated that they have never seen a comprehensive inspection like ours. We inspect the home or business in its entirety including the Heating and ventilation system, attics, crawl spaces and any other physically accessible area within the home. Depending on the size of the property you could be looking at a 2-4 hours for the entirety of the inspection if not more.

Mold is everywhere so why should I care?

This statement is true and very important to our everyday life including plants, medicines and other factors. With that being said mold growing in your home is not a good thing. There could also be underlying problems to the structure of your home as well. Mold and other toxins can cause severe medical issues and many times the victims of these toxins don’t realize they have been affected.

Have you worked with patients suffering from CIRS and or Lyme disease?

Yes! we have been privileged enough to work closely with environmental doctors and patients to hep them rid their home of harmful molds and other toxins. It has been a very gratifying experience to truly use our knowledge to help someone create a foundation for healing.

How to know if my home or business has mold or other toxins?

Laboratory analyzation is the only true way to determine if molds and or toxins are present in your environment. Clean Air Environmental has made strong relationships with an accredited 3rd party laboratory for all of our analyzation needs. Clean Air Environmental will be your network to this important aspect of the inspection and identification process.

Do I have to be sick for you to help me?

Not at all. We help everyone that needs our assistance. We have completed numerous inspections throughout our tenure for property managers, renters, home owners, business owners and restoration companies. We do not hold our knowledge hostage for only one group to benefit from.

Can I just use bleach to clean the mold away.

You can use bleach to clean mold, BUT the mold will come back and possibly worse.

Bleach contians about 97% water. When you apply bleach to the surface the chlorine will quickly evaporate leaving behind mostly water. The high moisture content will then effectively wet the surface again creating an environment for microbial growth. Bleach can make your mold issue worse.

We do not recommend the use of bleach.

The EPA and OSHA have stated not to use bleach on mold remediation projects.
